Voice part: Bass

Season you joined the Chorale: 1984

Birthplace: Canada

Education/Vocal Training: BMus, Voice Opera -- MFA Voice

Do you make your living as a musician? One half of my living is earned by singing, arranging and contracting/producing

Where else do you gig/teach/conduct/sing/perform? I gig around town in a variety of vocal ensembles - jazz, barbershop and classical - and produce the popular annual "Choral Taste of Los Angeles" choral music reading session. I have numerous arrangments in publication, mostly for vocal ensemble.

What else do you do as a "day job"? I also own a company that imports and sells digitally sampled church organs - Johannus L.A.

Where else do you sing NOW? No church position, but Shalom Temple of the Arts for H.H. Days

Recordings/TV/Film: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End; The King of Queens; The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; numerous film soundtracks

Highlight of your musical career: A Command Performance for Queen Elizabeth II in 1978; the Carnegie Hall Concert with the Master Chorale and the L.A. Phil in 1986; the Madison, Wisconsin concert with the Master Chorale in 2009.

My favorite choral work: Verdi Requiem

A defining moment or favorite onstage experience: Spending 2 weeks working with Jerome Hines in his opera "I Am The Way"; singing on the 1993 Grammy Awards Show with members of the Master Chorale.

What are you listening to these days? Swingle Singers: Skyliner (big band jazz)

Anything you'd like to add about yourself? I'm very eclectic. We have Deep Purple right next to Debussy in our CD collection at home. I also financed my first couple of years of college playing bass in a country and western band.
