We are the beneficiaries of this musical immersion as he shares sacred and secular French masterpieces from the Renaissance to the 20th Century. The Josquin Mass is transcendent; the 16th century chansons from the prolific and popular Janequin are intricate, fast and light. The Duruflé motets including the beloved Ubi Caritas and Ravel’s impressionistic Trois Chansons will delight. C’est magnifique!
The music of France is all about grace, wit and effortless profundity.
